Abstract

PURPOSE: To improve the thermal efficiency of a supercharged boiler cycle by conducting the combustion gas discharged from a gas-turbine to a combustion chamber of a steam generator and introducing the combustion gas discharged from the steam generator into a different gas-turbine from the above-said one as operating fluid.
CONSTITUTION: The combustion gas discharged from a gas-turbine 22 is conducted into a combustion chamber 24 of a steam generator 23 as combustion air for burning the fuel supplied through a pipe 31. The combustion gas discharged from the steam generator is then introduced into a turbine 27 for operation. In this construction, since a steam generator is provided on the way of adiabatic expansion in a gas- turbine cycle, the maximum cycle pressure in a gas-turbine system cannot be limited as before by the structural problem of the steam generator. Consequently, the entrance temperature of the turbine can be increased as high as possible for promoting the thermal efficiency.
