Abstract
PURPOSE: To improve thermal efficiency, by recovering energy lost with exhaust gas by injecting steam with high temperature and high pressure obtained from an exhaust gas boiler into a flow path for air with high pressure or combustion gas between a compressor and a turbine.
CONSTITUTION: Water G is pressure increased to high pressure water H by means of a pump device 6, is provided with heat at an intermediate stage cooler 1c, is further given heat at an exhaust gas boiler 4, passes a condition of water with high temperature and high pressure, is changed into steam J under an overheat condition and is introduced into a flow path 9 for combustion gas D. The overheat steam J deprives the quantity of heat from the combustion gas D, and is converted into a high temperature high pressure condition of the same temperature as the combustion gas D at an inlet of a turbine 2. Since this process for the steam J is regarded as it that a combustor 3 is provided with excess fuel and the steam is heated up to the same temperature as the combustion gas D, the greater the quantity of heat afforded at the intermediate stage cooler 1c and the exhaust gas boiler 4 is, the more thermal efficiency is improved.
