797,361. Bearings. PRIESTMAN BROS., Ltd. Feb. 22, 1956 [March 15, 1955], No. 7545/55. Class 12 (1). A crane or mechanical excavator has a rotatable superstructure bedplate 2 mounted on rollers 4 carried by stationary foundation plate 3, a centre pin 10 being provided which is fixed to bedplate 2 and is formed with flange 11 and co-operates with boss 6 of baseplate 2 to form a thrust bearing to resist overturning loads. An oil bath 17 is provided, the level of which is determined by dipstick 24.
