Abstract

792,216. Hatch covers. AKTIEBOLAGET GOTAVERKEN. July 10, 1956 [Sept. 23, 1955], No. 21392/56. Class 113. A device for opening and closing a hatch cover pivotally mounted at 5 on one of its sides comprises a lever 8 which is secured to the deck 1 outside the coaming 2 by means of a hinge 10 located outside the pivots 5 and extends from said hinge inwards above the cover to which it is movably connected by a roller 11, a jack 9 being arranged between the hinge 10 and the coaming and between the lever and the deck. The cover comprises sections 3 and 4 hinged together, section 4 carrying a roller 6 adapted to travel on a track 7 along the coaming.
