853,333. Hatch covers. ENGLESSON, J. E. Aug. 16, 1957 [Aug. 18, 1956], No. 25996/57. Class 113. [Also in Group XXV] A hatch cover comprising two sections 15, 17 articulated to one another at 19, one section being hinged at 13 to a frame 11 surrounding the hatchway, is raised and lowered by a rotary-motion hydraulic motor 31 so as to cause the two sections to fold against one another to open the hatchway and to unfold from one another to close the hatchway, the motor 31 being secured to the frame 11 adjacent to and to one side of the axis of the hinges and below the hatch cover when in the closed position, the motor being provided with a lever 21, one end of which is rigidly connected to the movable part of the motor to be swung with said part and the other end movable along the inside of the cover section when swinging the cover to its open or closed position. The swinging end of the lever 21 carries a roller 23 which runs in a slot 25 in a guide 27 attached to the lower side of the section 15.
