In a feeder conveyer and gate conveyer tension end assembly for use in mines consisting of a powerdriven feeder conveyer which incorporates a lowlevel horizontal receiving section leading up a ramp to an elevated horizontal delivery section, coupled to a gate conveyer tension end unit in. cluding a hopper extending under the delivery end of the feeder conveyer, relative movement between the feeder conveyer and gate conveyer is effected by power-operable means acting between the feeder conveyer and the tension end unit. As shown, the feeder conveyer is a double chain scraper conveyer which includes a receiving portion 10, a ramp section 11 and a delivery section 12, the delivery section being pivoted to the ramp section to allow its outer end, Fig. 2, to be guided by rollers 14 on rails 15 secured to the sides of the receiving hopper 13 of the gate conveyer tension end unit. The feeder conveyer is mounted by means of rollers 29 on the ramp section to run on rails 27 extending rearwardly from the end support 35 of the gate conveyer framework towards the mine
