Abstract

A conveyer comprises an endless belt 1 extending around rollers, 3, 4, and a trough 6 extending under the return flight of the belt to recover material falling from the belt, the movement of the material from one end of the trough to the other being brought about by at least one scraper 9, mounted fixedly on the belt and conforming in shape to the internal crosssection of the trough, an extension 13 being curved around one of the rollers to a point above the load bearing flight slightly before a loading shoot 15. As shown, the belt has trough-forming sides 2. The scraper 9 is cut away at 11, 11, in order to clear belt-supporting rollers 12, 12.
