1371297 Feeding endless conveyers PHYSICS INTERNATIONAL CO 6 June 1972 26344/72 Heading B8A [Also in Divisions E1 and F3] In a projectile-firing tunnelling machine rock broken away from a tunnel face by the impact of the projectiles thereon is removed by a bucket 74 pivoted on the leading end of a conveyer 71 supported on the tunnel floor by rollers 72 disposed beneath a carriage 57 and reciprocable with respect to the carriage by rams 73. The bucket is pivoted by rams 75 and discharges into a hopper 71 above the conveyer. (For Figure see next page.)
