Abstract

1,168,012. Arrangement of mine conveyers. DOWTY MECO Ltd. 18 April, 1968 [19 April, 1967], No. 17868/67. Heading B8A. Coal from a face is delivered by a face conveyer (11), Fig. 3, not shown, to a first scraper conveyer 10 mounted on wheels 15 for movement, on advancement of the face conveyer, up a ramp 16 and along tracks 18 disposed above a second scraper conveyer 17. The coal is discharged from the outbye end of the first end of the first conveyer 10 on to the second conveyer 17 and thence to the outbye end thereof for delivery to a short cross conveyer 27 feeding a main conveyer (not shown). The first conveyer 10 is moved relative to the second conveyer 17 by hydraulic rams 25 and may be moved for every step or second or third steps of the face conveyer or when said face conveyer approaches the inclined portion thereof.
