Abstract

777,853. Hooks. AHLQUIST AKTIEBOLAGET, D. Sept. 14, 1954 [Jan. 20, 1954], No. 26659/54. Class 89 (2). A hook comprises a body 1 with an open hookshaped part 3, on the end of which is pivoted at 3<SP>1</SP> a two-armed lever 41, 4<SP>11</SP>, the arms 41 of which close the port 3 and are engaged by a shackle 6 urged downwardly by a leaf spring 13. The shackle may be locked in its engaging position by a, dowel inserted in hole 10. The arms 411 straddle part 3 and are supported by flanges 3<SP>11</SP> so as to lie below the inside face of part 3. In a modification, lever 41, 4<SP>11</SP> lies on one side only of the hook-body.
