Abstract

774,212. Hooks; shackles. TAYLOR, J. H. July 29, 1955 [Aug. 25, 1954], No. 24670/54. Classes 24 and 89 (2). A hook A comprises a shank 3 and point 2, and a locking - member B pivoted about an axis nornal to the shank, which member engages an abutment 5 when in a position closing the hook-opening 2a and is turnable to open the hook after being pulled against a spring D to clear the abutment. As shown, shank 3 and member B are common to two hooks 1, 2, used e.g. for connecting a bull-head harness to a tether-chain.
