811,585. Locking screws etc.; hinges. DUFFIELD, F. W. N., RILEY, P. J. H., and BOWATER, A. T. July 17,1957 [July 20, 1956], No. 22477/56. Classes 65 (2) and 89(1) A clevis-joint for coupling together rods and/or cables, comprises a clevis 1, Fig. 1, with a connecting-pin 6, Fig. 2, having a screwed-head 7 engaging a screwed-bore 4 in one arm 2 of the clevis and a plain-part 6b engaging a plain-bore 5 in the other arm. The pin is secured against rotation relatively to the clevis by a plate 15 having an aperture 14 engaging a non-circular projection 12 from the head, the plate having bent-edges 16 engaging the sides of the arm 2. The plate is held on the pin by a cotter 17. The rod &c. 20 has a screwedend 19 engaging a screwed-hole in the base of the clevis. In another arrangement, the clevis is elongated and the rod slides in a hole through the base and has a head to prevent withdrawal of the rod &c. from the clevis.
