788,871. Locking screws. BRITISH THOMSON-HOUSTON CO., Ltd. July 16, 1956 [July 18, 1955], No. 20745/55. Class 89(1) A screw 1 having a slotted-head 1a received in a hole 4a having an enlarged end 4 for the head, is locked by a pin 3 extending across the enlarged end and disposed within the slot 5. One end of the pin is received in a hole 6 in the wall of the enlarged end, and the other end either engages a similar diametrically-opposed hole, or the wall. The hole or holes is or are substantially aligned with the slot. The pin is inserted with a central bend which is straightened to lie within slot 5. To unlock, .the pin is prised out. The head may be cylindrical or frusto-conical with the enlarged end correspondingly formed.
