Abstract

938,527. Hooks. A. KOCH. March 12, 1962 [March 17, 1961], No. 9396/62. Class 89 (2). A U-shaped hook 1 with divergent limbs has a pivot pin 11 closing a forked end 2 of one limb, the pin passing through, a mousing piece 5, located in the fork and suspended on a pin 8 closing a shackle 9 by which the hook is suspended. The other end 3 of the hook is flat and has an elongated slot 4 for receiving the tip 12 of the mousing piece which is formed with a handle 6 at its other end. The mousing piece 5 opens, to permit engagement or removal of the load, when the handle 6 is raised.
