Abstract

998,492. Suitcase handles. E. M. JONES. Aug. 22, 1962 [Sept. 18, 1961], No. 33331/61. Heading A4G. A suitcase handle comprises a U-shaped member, has a cross-bar B by which the handle is gripped and an upper portion A adapted to bear against the forearm when the suitcase is being carried, the lower portions of the limbs of the handle being secured to the suitcase. The handle above the cross-bar B may be hinged to the lower portion of the handle as shown at G and the material of the suitcase may be engaged in a slot D in the handle and rivetted thereto. Alternatively the lower ends of the handle may be strapped to the suitcase.
