Abstract

902,316. Handles for carrier bags, &c. GATWARD, H. F. Dec. 5, 1960 [Sept. 14, 1960], No. 31689/60. Classes 18 and 133. A carrier bag or box is formed with a slot 1 through which a string handle 4 is passed, the slot being intersected near its ends by further slots 6 which with slots 1 provide parts 7 which grip the handle 4. The slot 1 is narrower than the cross-sectional diameter of the string and is provided with a wider section 8 so that the handle 4 may easily be inserted. Slots 1 may be formed in both side members of the bag and the string held in place in one of them by a strengthening member 5 glued into place. Specification 794,600 is referred to.
