Abstract

1,067,259. Lifting slings. GÍTEBORGS BANDVAVERI A.B. Aug. 6, 1965 [Aug. 14, 1964], No. 33708/65. Heading B8H. A sling 1 comprising a flat web with end loops 2, 3, has a locking device for preventing the sling from slackening when it is removed from a lifting hook which comprises a sleeve 4 surrounded by an elastic ribbon 5. The loop 2 is passed through the loop 3 and then through the elastic band 5 before being attached to a lifting device. The sleeve may be of textile material made from natural or synthetic material, leather or a leather substitute. It is formed in two halves 7, 8, Fig. 3 (not shown), stitched together, the rubber band being stitched thereto.
