Abstract

899,245. Rope eyes and loops. WESTBROOKE, W. G. F. Oct. 13, 1958 [Dec. 11, 1957], No. 38521/57. Class 109. [Also in Group XXX] A tow-rope 2 is provided with a plate 1 which is secured by swaging at 4 to sleeve 3 fixed to the end of the rope, and the said plate is provided with hooks 5, 6, which face in different directions. In use, the rope is formed into the loop shown and is then secured by being threaded through the hooks. The loop is strengthened by a sleeve 10 of coiled wire covered by plastic 11.
