Abstract
768,010. Tow-ropes. CROWE, G. E. W. Jan. 24, 1955, No. 2089/55. Class 109. A tow-rope 10, which may be of nylon, is formed with a loop 11, by hand splicing 12, the loop 11 passing through the eye 14 at one end of a rigid bar member which is straight at its central portion 13 and bent substantially, through a right-angle at its other end 15. The other end of the rope 10 is formed with a handspliced loop. In use, the end of the tow-rope shown in Fig. 2 is first passed about a suitable part of one vehicle and then through the handspliced loop at the other end to attach the towrope to the first vehicle. The end of the towrope shown in Fig. 2 is then detachably connected, as shown, to a suitable part 16 of the second vehicle, the bar portion 13 being slipped between a portion 17 of the rope 10 and the loop 11.
