768,992. Combustion chambers. MONDIAL PISTON CO., SOC. IN NOME COLLETTIVO-E. GALLI & CIE. Jan. 28, 1953 [April 30, 1952], No. 2405/53. Class 7 (3). A combustion chamber 2 formed in the piston has a cross section forming a regular polygon, e.g. an octagon, the side wall of the chamber being substantially parallel to the piston axis. The sides of the polygon may be straight, Fig. 2, or concavely curved, Fig. 3, or concavely curved and a conical projection 4 at the base of the chamber may be integral with the piston or bolted thereto.
