Abstract
768,255. Handles. WILMOT-BREEDEN, Ltd. April 22, 1955 [May 3, 1954], No. 12753/54. Class 52 (1). A bow-shaped car door handle with a latchreleasing push-button 8 at one end has the heel of the other end laterally inserted in a socket 4 secured to the panel face by a screw 5 the head of which is hidden by the handle. On dismounting the latch end of the handle opposite end can be detached from the socket without disturbing the mounting of the latter. In the preferred construction the handle end is lipped to engage under a flange 6a and a spring-loaded ball 7 prevents rattle.
