[Class 44.] In a pneumatically operated bolt 22, morticed into a door post, access to the bolt-head 23 is provided by a hole 31 in the face of the door so that the bolt may be pushed back by hand when necessary. The hole may be closed by a plug 33 which is removed by aligning a projection 36 with a slot 35 in a sleeve 34. The bolt is retained in a barrel 10 by a detachable cap 15. The usual operating means is arranged so that when the piston is moved to shoot the bolt, an alarm is operated electrically.
