Abstract
761,973. Electrically ignited lighters. MOHR, R. Jan. 9, 1953 [May 23, 1952], No. 753/53. Class 75(3) In a lighter, the wick cap and fuel sealing device 18 carried on a lever 1 is locked in the sealing position by the slidable'carrier 8 of the electrically heated glow wire 9 in its non-igniting position engaging the shorter arm 2 of the lever which is released by movement of the carrier,to the igniting position, Fig. 2, to allow the lever and sealing device 18 to move up into the open position; preferably under spring action. In the open position the arm 2, in order to function as a stop for the carrier return movement, extends between two guide rails 1 in which the carrier 8 slides when pushed to the igniting position by a manually operated actuator 12, Fig. 6, coupled to the carrier by a pin engaging in a slot 10, Fig. 2, against the action of a spring which holds the carrier in the locking and non-igniting position.
