465,663. Frictional pocket igniters. CURWEN & CO., Ltd., W. M. (Kremer & Bayer) Nov. 11, 1935, No. 31163. Addition to 364,306. [Class 75 (iii)] In an igniter as described in the parent Specification, the cap a is opened by the snap action of a compression spring d after an initial movement of the cap as by means of a lever l to move the guide pin e of the spring over the dead - centre position. One end of the pin e is pivoted at c to the cap and the other end is guided in a bore f of an abutment g for the spring. The abutment g and a bracket h for the common spindle b of the friction-wheel and cap are combined with a base plate i, secured in position by screwing the burner head k on the wick-tube. The walls of the casing are extended to form the hood m and are formed with circular recesses in which corresponding edges of the cap slide.
