Abstract

477,768. Frictional pocket igniters. NATIONALE SOC. ANON. June 5, 1936, No. 15812. Convention date, July 27, 1935. [Class 75 (iii)] The flint carrier 12 is mounted on the pivot 11 of the friction-wheel 7 and its operating wheel 8 so that it can be swung outwardly, preferably by a spring 13, for obtaining access to the flint 10 on retracting the flint spring 5, or its retaining casing 6, from the carrier 12 as by pressing back a slide 16, the spring 5, or casing 6, being held in the retracted position by a projection 19 on the carrier. The spring 5 is mounted on an axial pin 4 in the housing 3 and the casing 6 is provided with a projection 14, which passes through a slot 15 in the housing and engages the slide 16. A lug 17 on the carrier engages in a slot in the igniter casing 1 to serve as an additional support for the carrier.
