761,439. Cathode-ray tubes. ELECTRIC & MUSICAL INDUSTRIES, Ltd. April 22, 1954 [June 12, 1953], No. 16181/53. Class 39(1). A metal body cathode-ray tube is supported by insulators 2 secured to the body either directly e.g. by sealing in cup-shaped depressions in the body, or by means of intermediate members e.g. by screwing into cup-shaped members welded or brazed to the body. The insulators may be of glass or of porcelain with an intermediate glass or metal solder. The tube may be resiliently supported in a cabinet by springs attached to eyes 4 on the ends of the insulators, or else the insulators may be bolted to the cabinet.
