Abstract
A magnesium-base alloy having a high resistance to creep and good corrosion resistance has a composition within the following range: .Zr.0,2 - 0,7.per cent .Mn.0,1 - 0,3.per cent .Zn.0,5 - 5,0.per cent .Th.1,0 - 6,0.per cent .Mg.the balance. The alloy may contain, in addition, one or more of the following elements: .Rare earth metals.up to 4,0.per cent .Be.up to 0,1.per cent .Ca.up to 0,2.per cent .Hg.up to 3,0.per cent .Pb.up to 1,0.per cent .Tl.up to 1,0.per cent .Li.up to 1,0.per cent .In.up to 1,0.per cent .Te.up to 0,1.per cent Specifications 511,137 and 733,221 are referred to
