Abstract
758,628. Wind motors,. ERREN, R. A. Dec. 23, 1954 [Dec. 23, 1953], No. 37286/54. Class 110(3) A wind driven propeller is mounted on the shaft of a generator arranged in pearshaped stream-lined housing b mounted for free rotation on a support a so that the propeller lies to leeward of the housing,. the length of the housing being not less than half the diameter of the propeller. The generator may have contra-rotating armature and exciter coupled to co-axial shafts carrying propellers of different diameter. The socket c by which the housing is mounted is of stream-line section.
