642,825. Aerial masts. ELECTRIC & MUSICAL INDUSTRIES, Ltd. Jan. 17, 1947, No. 1567. [Class 20(i)] [Also in Group XL(c)] A hollow support 1 for a rotating aerial system 12, 13 is carried on ballbearing members 2 and 3 and further maintained by stays 8 attached to the ball - bearing member 7. Rotation is effected by shaft 10 which may carry a worm (not shown) engaging with teeth on, or coupled to, the bearing member 2. In a modification, the support 1 is mounted within a fixed outer support to give better protection to the bearings. Specification 600,014, [Group XL(c)], is referred to.
