Abstract

979,572. Aerials. MARCONI CO. Ltd. Aug. 8, 1963 [Sept. 10, 1962], No. 34524/62. Heading H4A. A dish aerial 1 is adjustably supported from a structure 4 such as a mast by means comprising a universal joint 2, 3 fixed to a point on the back of the aerial and three support rods 9, 10, 11 of adjustable length fixed to different points on the aerial circumferentially spaced from each other and the universal joint. Further adjustable support rods such as 13 may be provided and in the embodiment described the rod 10 fixed at a point diagonally opposite the universal joint extends downwards at an acute angle; the effective length of the support rods is adjusted by nuts on screwed portions of the rods.
