[Class 35] [Also in Group XXXIII] Electrical de-icing equipment for aircraft includes heaters v and z energized from a generator r which rotates, together with its field windings, with the propeller, the armature being adapted to rotate in the opposite direction and so provide a high speed of relative rotation. The generator r includes a coaxial distributer s, and a voltage regulator, and the generator circuit includes terminals 11 and 13 on the propeller hub so that in all positions of the blade they are in contact with a central terminal 14 and a ring terminal 15 of the heater z. A magnetic clutch may be provided to control the heaters by rotating or holding stationary the gear-wheel d.
