[Also in Group VIII] A wringer which is pivoted to a supporting frame so that it may be swung into an out of use position is secured in its erect working position by means of a wedge movable into engagement with an abutment surface to press a stop on the wringer against the supporting frame, the movement of the wedge being effected by a threaded bolt. The wringer may also be secured in its out of use position. The wringer is pivoted at 18 to the frame 17 and a bolt 21 is threaded into a bearing 29 and has a conical point which can be screwed into offset countersunk holes 30 or 31 to force stops 19 or 20 on to the frame 17. Two bearings to take a bolt 21 may be provided, one on the wringer and one on the supporting frame, each bearing being used to secure the wringer in one position. In a third embodiment the bolt may have a conical point at each end and be set transversely to the pivot axis 18 and at a small distance below it so that for each position of the wringer one or other end of the bolt may engage the same countersunk hole 34 set in the frame 17 at the same level as the pivot axis, (see Fig. 8).
