[Class 138 (ii)] The adjustable upper roller 12 is mounted between short horizontal arms of a pair of bellcranks 10 pivoted at 8 to the side standards 2. The other arms of the bell-cranks are long and loaded by compression springs 14 adjustable by screws 17. Alternatively, a cross-member may span the two springs and be engaged by a single adjusting screw.
