Abstract

552,542. Bearings. BRIDGE & CO., Ltd., D., and BROWN, J. Feb. 12, 1942, No. 1856. [Class 12 (i)] In rolling mills and mixers for rubber and like masses the bearings of the rear roller are anchored by tie-bolts engaging the frame with resilient means interposed between the bearing and the frame and engaging a plunger device. The bearings b<SP>1</SP> of the rear roller are self-aligned by a resilient buffer d engaging a rounded projection or plunger c. The rubber buffer is carried by the bearing and the projection by the frame A, or vice-versa. The bearing is held to the frame by tie-bolts e seated in conical passages e<SP>1</SP> and provided with spring washers.
