Abstract

674,253. Rollers. NORTON & CO., Ltd., Sir J. F. Sept. 20, 1950 [Sept. 29, 1949], No. 24994/49. Class 42 (ii). A cloth expander roller comprises two conical portions a, b interconnected at their small diameter ends by a rubber or like ring e bonded to parts d secured therein. These may be vulcanite bushes which screw into the portions a, b, which may also be of vulcanite. The bushes d, and the caps h which are screwed into the outer ends of the conical portions, are provided with self-lubricating bushes f, i, having curved internal surfaces acting as selfaligning bearings on the expander shaft g.
