743,422. Lampholders. HARLEY, M. C. April 9, 1954 [April 9, 1953], No. 9683/53. Class 38 (1). A lampholder, in particular for an aircraft landing lamp, comprises a clamp for the lamp base consisting of two parts e, c, the latter being fixed to a bar a also carrying spring plunger contacts i on axes slightly inclined to the axis of the lamp base. Engagement of a pin g on the lamp base with a hole f in part c locates the lamp, the plungers i exerting forces on contact studs on the lamp base in such directions as to urge the lamp base in stable contact with clamp part c. The clamp part e is then attached without having to overcome spring pressure. Specification 560,152, [Group XI], is referred to.
