Class 68(1) [Also in Group X] Apparatus for digging or clearing ditches comprises means, e.g. a scoop 21, attached by a chain 19 or the like of fixed length to a frame 8 projecting laterally of a selfpropelled vehicle, e.g. a tractor, to which it is secured or attached. The means is also connected to the vehicle by lifting and lowering means, which comprise a frame 9 pivotally and obliquely mounted on the rear of the vehicle and a hydraulicallyactuated linkage system 4, 41, 42, 43 to which the frame 9 is also connected.
