991,668. Excavators. PRIESTMAN BROS. Ltd. Aug. 26, 1963 [Oct. 10, 1962; March 12, 1963], Nos. 38402/62 and 9784/63. Heading E1F. [Also in Division B7] An excavator or crane with road wheels 14 is provided with removable endless tracks or belts 15 (see also Division B7) tensioned by pairs of jockey wheels 16, 17 on spring loaded adjustable frame 18. Upper portion 5 of the boom is telescopically mounted on the lower boom portion 4 and when extended may be slewed from the central position to a position displaced to either side of centre. Bucket 7 is connected to ram 10 through swivel link 13 and has two alternative connections 11, 12 for attachment to arm 6 for use as either a face shovel or back shovel.
