Abstract

An impregnating or coating composition for a fishing line comprises a water-insoluble polyvinyl alcohol and a lubricant which may be finely comminuted graphite, wax or an oil. Specification 741,801, [Group VI], is referred to.ALSO:A fishing line has a number of superimposed coatings of a finishing, impregnating and/or coating material, the outermost coating or coatings only having a lubricating material incorporated therein. The impregnating or coating material is preferably a water insoluble polyvinyl alcohol and the lubricant may be finely comminuted graphite, wax or an oil. Specification 741,801 is referred to.
