Abstract

A suspension of chrysotile asbestos fibres has, e.g. 25 to 100 per cent on the weight of the fibres, of a water-soluble soap of a drying oil fatty acid, e.g. ammonium, sodium, or potassium hydroxide reacted with linseed, chinawood, oiticica, perilla, safflower, or modified castor, linseed, soya, or fish oil, as a colloidizing agent. Specification 689,692 is referred to.ALSO:Paper is made from a suspension of chrysotile asbestos fibres having e.g. 25 to 100 per cent on the weight of the fibres of a water-soluble soap of a drying oil fatty acid, e.g. ammonium, sodium, or potassium hydroxide reacted with linseed, chinawood, oiticica, perilla, safflower, or modified castor, linseed, soya, or fish oil, as colloidizing agent.
