Abstract
796,033. Impregnated wallboard. MO OCH DOMSJO AKTIEBOLAG. May 24, 1956 [May 24, 1955], No. 16129/56. Class 96. Wallboard is impregnated with a board oil and a water-soluble cellulose ether. Preferred amounts are, in per cent, relative to the dry weight of the fibre sheet, ether 0.05 to 2; oil 0.1 to 15. Specified board oils are linseed, fish, soya bean, and tall oil, or alkyd resins modified by such oils; the ethers specified are methyl-; ethyl-; methyethyl-; cyanoethyl-; sulphoethyl- or hydroxyethyl-cellulose; or salts of cellulose ether carboxylic acids, e.g. ammonium or sodium carboxymethyl cellulose. The ether can be added as a composition containing also melamine resin and rye flour.
