[Class 141] [Also in Group VIII] Asbestos garments are impregnated or coated externally or both externally and internally with a flexible, wear-resisting and heat-resisting material such as synthetic resins of the glycerine-phthalic acid or phenol-formaldehyde types, chlorinated rubber, synthetic rubber, tung oil or other oil-varnish compositions of the baking type which can be applied in solution to the cloth by brushing, spraying, immersion &c. before or after the cloth is made up into the garment : Specifications 369,097, 441,355 and 468,249, [all in Group VIII], are referred to.
