Abstract

211,972. Exley, C. N., and Rimmer, H. A. Dec. 1, 1922. Coating processes; water paints. - Walls, paper, &c. are coated with a paint comprising a pigment and soap with or without oleaginous matter, which, when dry, is in turn coated with a metallic salt solution to form an insoluble soap.. The paint is preferably composed of sodium resinate containing 70-75 per cent of water and a pigment such as china clay, oxide of iron, &c., with or without linseed oil or other drying oil. The metallic salt solution may be a 30 per cent solution of aluminium sulphate.
