733,405. Hose couplings. AEROQUIP CORPORATION..Tune 28, 1951 [Sept. 14, 1950], No. 30286/53. Divided out of 733,337. Drawings to Specification. Class 99 (1). In a coupling of the type wherein the end of a hose pipe is accommodated in an annular space between a nipple and a socket, the nipple is screw-threaded into the socket and has a sharp leading edge for cutting a cylindrical slit in the hose as the nipple is screwed in, and the socket grips the hose against axial movement relatively to itself during the slit-forming operation. The couplings described are described also in Specification 733,337.
