[Class 99 (i)] A hose end coupling member has a tapered nipple 2 with a triangular-section screw-thread, the hose end being forced into an annular recess 4 when the nipple is screwed into the hose. The coupling member may have a threaded connection 5 for a pipe or another nipple 2, or may have three nipples, being of Y or T form.
