731,430. Golf-bag carriers. DICK, W. C. Feb. 20, 1953 [Jan. 30, 1952], No. 2524/52. Class 108 (1). A collapsible golf-bag carrier comprises a tubular backbone 5, an adjustable handle 14, a bracket 19 provided with lugs to which are pivoted pairs of parallel links 29, 30, and brackets 26 supporting wheels the axles of which are each at a level between the pivot points of the links with their brackets 26. The handle 14 is screwed into a socket 12, the joint including a hard rubber washer 18 by means of which the handle can be turned relative to and be frictionally held by the socket. The handle support 11 and the socket 12 have mating castellated surfaces 11A and 12A held together by a wing-nut 13A so that the handle may be adjusted in a vertical plane. Spring locks 31 are provided to maintain the carrier in either its collapsed or extended setting and the wheels in the stowed position lie on the opposite side of the backbone 5 from their position when extended.
