Abstract

636,896. Ladders. ROED, H. May 6, 1947, No. 12209. [A Specification was laid open to inspection under Sect. 91 of the Acts, May 6, 1947.] [Class 20 (ii)] The lower ends of the side members 4 of a ladder are mounted in sleeves 3 slidable along a curved base member 1 so that the base member may be adjusted to rest on a sloping surface. The sleeves 3 are connected by a tube 5 carrying a strap 6 which surrounds the base member 1 and carries studs engaging a rack on the member 1 which tilts to lock the ladder in position.
