[Class 52(v)] A vertically adjustable clothes post comprises two telescopic members 1, 3; the outer movable member 3 of which carries a rope supporting hook 11 and is slidable on an upper extension 2 fixed to the top. of the member 1. Manually operable adjusting means is provided by a crosshandle 12 attached to the lower end of the movable member 3. Vertically spaced holes 7 on the extension 2 cooperate with a trigger 8 on a slide 4 to lock the member 3 in the desired position.
