Abstract

847,275. Collapsible golf-bag carriers. CLARKE, E. A. Aug. 6, 1958 [Aug. 28, 1957], No. 27057/57. Class 108(1). A collapsible golf-bag carrier comprises a longitudinal tubular backbone 10 in or supporting a golf-bag, and a plate 11 centrally pivoted to the tube 10 and supporting a wheel assembly 12. A spring urged pin catch 13 adapted to enter the holes 29 may lock the plate and wheel assembly with respect to the tube 10 so that the assembly 12 lies either parallel with or transversely to the tube. The wheels are attached to links 18 and are pivotally connected at 19 to links 17 slidable within guide members 15 fixed to the ends of pairs of links 14. Links 23 pivoted at 24 to the links 18 and at 25 to the links 14 support the wheels in the extended position, and a cam 28 rotatable with the plate 11 presses the links 17 outwardly when the wheel assembly is transverse to the backbone and engages holes in these links with conical locking studs 26 on the links 14. The carrier may be provided with a removable telescopic handle.
