Abstract

680,052. Golf-bag carriers. LONSDALE, F. E. July 9,1951 [July 8, 1950], No. 17108/50. Class 108 (i). A collapsable golf-bag carrier comprises a backbone A, which may be formed as a golfbag itself, to which are pivotally attached a U-shaped member C for supporting a wheeled axle D and a handle member K. A further U-shaped member F forming an axle stay is pivoted at G to the stay C and to the handle K at J. Retractable pins I retain the handle K and the stay F in the same plane and when withdrawn the handle K may be swung downwardly about the pins I to collapse the carrier so that the members A, C, F and K lie substantially within the same plane. The axle D may be retained in hooked brackets L by the stay F when the carrier is erected, thus allowing the axle to be detached when the carrier is folded. The handle K and the stay F may be made as a single rigid member and the carrier collapsed by removing the pins I and raising the rear end of the backbone A until it lies substantially in the same plane as the handle and stay member.
